I think the left at that intersection leads to the PSC. I am trying to get a better map but interwebs is slow right now.

looks like a good ride. One of these days I'll get out there. Apparently I just took a 2 hour nap. Didn't even realize

@skiergd011013 I think that spot on Gmaps with the truck in the water is the PSC. They talk about ATV use and such. And from the look of the map there is a sliver of space between state land. Makes sense.

@skiergd011013 @DrFunker If this sort of terrain doesn't scare you for about a mile and a half, I've got a spot for you with many other discontinued roads in the immediate vicinity.:

No, probably about two months ago. I'll shoot both of you a PM. It's one of those places that's nice because so few people know about it, so I don't want to announce it to the world.

Ok guys. I did the krown treatment today. I have to say, i am sold. I am Very impressed with the whole process, and the service i received. the guy let me watch the whole thing, explained it to me, and did an Extremely thorough job. The whole underside of my truck is glistening, and dripping with the stuff. I know fluid film is proven and respected, but you just cannot do as thorough as a job with it at home unless you have some special equipment. The guy drilled holes in key places(all out of sight, inside the doors etc) , inserted a special wand and sprayed the krown behind the sheet metal on the whole truck. On the back, he removed the tailights, and inserted what had to be a 6 foot wand all the way down the insides of the bed, and sprayed. The inside of my bumper, tailgate, spare tire, hood, gas door, skid plate, absolutely everything is covered. I will be doing this every year to protect the truck. Pic one: all doors open for drilling and spraying, hood open for spraying, as well as gas door. 20151109_131031.jpg the 6 foot wand inserted behind the bed sheet metal20151109_131417.jpg up on the lift, so he could spray leafsprings, everything in the wheel well areas, and the entire underside20151109_134915.jpgeverything is dripping wet with the krown 20151109_140457.jpg 20151109_140503.jpg 20151109_140514.jpg 20151109_140523.jpg 20151109_140531.jpgone of the hole plugs. All located inside the doors, out of sight. They look completely factory. 20151109_160310.jpg some dripping coming from the tailgate. Dripping should stop within 24 hours. 20151109_160512.jpg they do wash the vehicles to get overspray off after the krowning. I opted to wash it myself on the way home. Didn't want their dirty, gritty brush touching my paint.

Wow. Very cool. What is the application product? Is it like FF, lanolin/wax based?

    quoted from krowns website:
Krown is designed to slow down or inhibit corrosion on vehicles. It is a petroleum based product with rust inhibitors containing no solvents. In fact the Krown product is environmentally safe, contains no toxins or solvents, is non-flammable, is non-reactive, is non-corrosive, can be sprayed in any weather, remains active, and is not WHMIS controlled.
Krown is sprayed in every corner of the vehicle and as it contacts metal, it lifts the moisture off and out of seams. It then continues to repel moisture by setting up a moisture resistant bond on the surface of the metal.

    Looks good!

Maybe next year I'll have it done.

I still really need to fix that front diff needle bearing in mine. Don't think I want to deal with it myself, though...I hate pulling CVs. Plus it's rarely noticeable, so my inclination to do anything about it is less than if it were annoying me every day.

Yeah, check out the site for the green light. It is in honor of my father and grandfather. Both WWII vets.
Glazed donut. Just that coating all shiny and looking like a glazed donut. Maybe a Krispy Kreme?
