If you want to accurately compare Weathertech and Husky floor mats, be sure you are comparing the top of the line floor mat from each company. Just don't compare an entry level mat from one company to the top of the line mat from the other company. I think the main difference between the two company's top of the line mats is how the Weatertech mat is much slicker than the Husky mat. I happen to prefer a mat that doesn't cause my feet to slip around on the floor board.

I've had and liked both the Weathertech All-weather and the Husky All-weather, the rubber ones.

The other versions of both are plastic and I've found they tend to be a bit slippery when wet, moreso than the rubber ones anyway.

The rubber ones are the cheapest also I believe.

If you go with Husky, go with Husky Liners X-act Contour (2013+ model# is 53701). I've had the original husky liners and they are like plastic and become slick unless you spray them with a clear coat grit spray. The new Huskys I just got for my birthday have more of a rubber feel to them, and are not as slick. I have no experience with Weathertech, but I do not like how weathertech only goes part way up the dead pedal.

I was recently looking for the X-Act Contour for my wife's 2012 4runner, but they don't make them yet. I've ordered some from Aries, but have not received them yet, so I can't give a comparison on those.

Unless Weathertech has a more rubber like compound and completely covers the dead pedal, I'd say go with Husky X-act contour.

BTW, if anyone is in the Bremerton/Seattle area, they can have my old custom gritted front Husky liners. (They only fit 2005-2011 though, since they don't fit well over the new twist lock mats hold-downs).

You will be happy with either one. They are both Very good products. I do have experience with both. I have the weathertech's and a buddy bought the Husky's. The Husky's cover a little bit better. Have a little bit better feel. If I had to choose all over again I would go with the Husky's.

I've always used Husky and had a set last 363k miles and are probably still going. I'm sure either will work well for you. There are always deals going on.

I agree completely with Noslow100. The one thing I noticed with the WeatherTechs is that they didn't conform completely. It seemed as if they were too stiff and they never fell into place. I'm very happy with the Husky's and you will too.

I had the Toyota all weather: ok at best, not great coverage. Had the WT digi mat: little bit better then the Toyota all weather, good but not great coverage. Now I have the Husky X-act mat. Fits the best, really good coverage compared to the WT and Toyota all weather. Less slippery, just altogether better. Also the rear mats are the best compared to the WT digi and Toyota all weather

With winter rearing its head, I just ordered Husky X-act fits - from other threads these seem to be more the product I need/ want than WTs. I've seen the WTs and wasn't impressed with the hard plastic for my uses.

    Thanks @Sig45

X2. I've had 'em both and prefer WT's. Better look and fit, imo. In fairness, I put Husky's in my '04 and my son reports that they are still holding up at 162K. My '10 had WT's and my current '08 has WT's.

I have WeatherTechs on my regular cab. When i first got them the fit was slightly off. There were gaps on the edges because the mat wanted to fold inwards. After some heating and some weights, it now contours nicely. Only thing is, I wish i had a bit more coverage for my dead pedal since that is where most of the crap gets through and also wish it wasn't so slippery when there's the tiniest bit of water. I may try Husky the next time around (which would probably be about another 3-5 years down the line if Toyota decides to make another regular cab).

Huskys didnt seem to hold their shape or fit as tight, so we switched to digifits and are much happier.
