Plastic film on rear fender?

    Anyone know what this film on the rear fenders are for? Mine has started peeling off slightly at the top and is attracting dirt in that spot. Anyone noticed this or removed the film? Sorry for the crappy pic. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1447338888.124136.jpg

    I believe they are so rocks don't chip the fender paint. My truck has them too.

    Yeah I assumed it was some kind of protective measure. I'd like to keep them for that but that little spot is an eyesore on an otherwise spotless truck. I'll probably just remove them. Maybe call up the dealership and see if they have replacements if I get worried about slinging rocks.

    i would leave it.. grab a razor blade and cut the brown part off, they are tough tho

    Yeah I tugged at it a little and it seemed like pretty tough stuff. I like that razor blade idea. I may give that a shot.
