Hi everyone. I'm in the market for a Taco and am wondering about mechanical differences between base and SR5 models. Specifically V6 4x4 6spd. Engine, trans, diffs, brakes, suspension, etc.? Does factory tow package have any oil cooler for 6spd trucks? Thanks

The gearing difference between AT and MT is in the transmission, not the diff. All V6s have 3.73 gears - it's the 4 bangers that have 4.10 gears.

I love my V6 man trans base model!

Hi again everyone. My Taco search continues and I have a follow up question. What about things like traction control, braking assist, tire pressure sensors, or possibly other extra "stuff". I'm wondering what was standard or optional on base and SR5 models. Specifically V6 4x4 6spd manual. Thanks again!

Long Taco search. You are going to get much more variation in features in base/sr5 depending on the year your are looking at vs the model difference. What year range are you shopping for?

Yes long search but I haven't given up. I'm more interested in early 2nd gen trucks priced below $20k. Say 05-11.
