Can I fix the Tire Cupping on these Duratracs?

Just bought a used set of 275/60/20 duratracs for a pretty good deal. $300 for 4 of them with 11/16th remaining. But i did notice that two of the tires have some cupping. Bought em anyway. I know my truck is in ship-shape because my current tires have worn perfectly.

My question is can a cupped tire get better, or will it only get worse from here on out?

 

I would think if it isn't your truck that caused the cupping then riding on them correctly will eventually even them out. You could put them on the back and do a big burnout to even them up if you want also lol.

Not much. Once they start to cup, they're most likely gonna stay that way or get worse. Duratracs cup easily. Mine have cupped also, although mine most likely happened from being overinflated and the fact that they don't balance.

 

I've fixed cupped tires that I bought used several times. Never Duratracs, but I don't see why they'd be any different.

 

Run 'em on the rear. Around 3500 to 4000 miles in, swap 'em from side to side and run for a couple thousand more miles.. THEN start rotating front to rear as you would normally. I flattened a set of Goodrich Mud Terrain radials that way a few years ago.
