That wouldn't be a problem for me if I didn't have 35s. I have 3" upfront for clearance. I'm not complaining though. The torn boot will stay on there for the time being

Well, I have 285/75/16 Muds, Icons up front, & Dakars in the rear. I'm not too sure how high I am in the front to be honest....I just know that there is a slight rake as I'm not completely level. Hope the angles are not too high

Definitely a trade off for sure. We push the limits a bit with these trucks. A few snafus we to be expected I suppose...

I called cvj yesterday and talked to the lady, I forgot her name. She said if you order axles with the high angle boots, there is no warranty. She said I can order another boot from them for $45 plus shipping.

For all of you how have 2nd gen trucks and installed CVJ Axles, did you have to go to the dealership and buy 2 of these seals or did the CVJ Axles already have them on?

If I recall correctly, a few people received their cvj axle with that seal damage. So I'm pretty sure they come with it.

I called CJV and they said they do not provide the seals. They sounded unfamiliar with what i was asking...or at least the lady who answered the phone did. So, either they are stuck on some axles and folks get them randomly or they are not on there and the purchaser will have to get new ones from the dealership prior to installing the cvj axles that were purchased.

Damn - I'm too late already! Anyhow here's pics of a box from CVJ I just opened.

In all honesty, I have no idea if the seal is on there or not. I'm just becoming familiar with the whole process of changing out the CV Axles. Which one is the CVJ...the bottom one?

Haha boy do I feel like a nOOb. Thank you for clarifying...

Hmm, I'll have to compare this picture with the axles I have at home. I called my local dealership and those seals are like $50 for the pair so, I'd rather not order them if I don't have to.

So I installed the CVJ Axles and am a little concerned about the outer fins rubbing...

How much lift do you have up front?

Honestly, I'm not sure. I have the Dakar leafs that both have the + on them and the front isn't totally level with the rear...I do have a little rake.
Here is how much I had to crank down my coilovers:

Anyone with Icons want to chime in on the amount of threads showing? I don't really have a good perspective since I have OMEs...
