    Hey guys,
I have a 97 Taco. I'm looking to fabricate my own instrument cluster. Curious as to ones others have done. And the difficulty. Here is a couple of ideas. Post pics of yours.Screenshot_2015-10-27-11-58-38.jpg Screenshot_2015-10-27-11-57-26.jpg Screenshot_2015-10-27-11-58-38.jpg Screenshot_2015-10-27-11-57-26.jpg

man, both of those are kinda lame lol. neither have matching gauges lol.
its a great idea, and i have done it a few times but not on my taco. if its not a race truck you really dont need a huge center tach.

It's less Tacoma and more mod
Honestly it would be a pain on a 95-97 Tacoma because they use the speedometer as the vehicle speed sensor as well. Plus, it is a cable driven speedo. So you'd be throwing codes for having no speed sensor. But if I were to do this I think I would use Defi brand gauges because some of their designs are just plain amazing.

Paranoid56, I these pics were just to give and idea as to what I'm wanting to do. My plan would prob go with 5" tach and speedometer and 2" on remainder. I'm having trouble with my actual speedometer and instead of replacing it with the lame factory I'd rather redo it all and have gauges monitoring everything rather than dummy lights.

Speedy tech, I thought about that with the speed sensor, I've not looked into it but wondering if the 2 wires could be ground out togather to keep the cel from coming on? My biggest concern would be making a plate for it to go on that would use existing mounts. I'm not a fan of the carbon fiber, but if it's easier to work with over aluminum or stainless I will give it a try

That's and awesome idea. Use the existing as your base. I would add in my turn signal lights, cel, brake, etc. Thanks for the pic.
