Plastic dip badges. Upgraded head unit, husky floor liners, BFG ko2 tires.
I have a stock 2009 tocoma with 235/75/16. I want to upgrade my tires since I have 75,000 on the truck and they are shot! I bought the truck used but if I had to guess i would say they are prob originals.

My question is how come the offroad additions and other tocomas come with 265/75/16 and my base sr5 has 235/75/16? I would like to upgrade to 265's . Wondering if is is ok and safe to as well as will there be clearance issues? I would also like to do a small lift in the future. No more than 3" though.

So should I but a new set of 235 on truck or can I go with 265 and be ok?

    Thank you for your time,

    Matt

265/75/16 fit fine stock. Ran that size for at least 6 months before my OME suspension upgrade. That's with after market wheels so factory backspacing may be an issue without wheel spacers.

265/70/16 is stock for TRD OR models. 265/75/16 is one inch taller. Either will fit a stock truck.

265/75/16's did rub on my 06 TRD OR with my suspension up and wheels fully turned. Other than that never an issue and I ran them for years. They look great too.
