I know that re gearing from the stock 4.10 to 4.88 gears affects the odometer (showing I've traveled farther than I really have). What effect, if any would this have on my ultraguage and it showing 23.9 avg mpg?

Is that accurate?
Is it actually lower by a few mpg?
Any way to find the exact +/- that it may be off?

Just recalibrate your "miles traveled" and it will do the rest
