That's interesting. Have you had this done and has it lasted a while? Curious to know what they use to do the job.

I actually work for SAM'S Club. I don't work in that department but I have seen the results, before and after. I know they sand them down with different grits of sandpaper, they spray something on them and then put a lamp over the lense to cure or dry the solution. If your lights aren't to bad they will look like new. If you needed them done 2 years ago they may have some hazing on the top of the lense where it is worse. For $30 and 45 minutes of my time its worth letting them do it, and if it hazes over again I have a 5 year warrantee. I've seen people buy kits for $20 and if they are lucky it might last a year and then they are doing it all over again.

This is specifically for headlights (clear plastics) This is a general UV protectant.

Ended up getting mine all back together. I'm pretty happy with the results. There's still a little bit of haze but seeing as what it started as, I am happy. 5b3549717d1b7616aa8eb23f4107a8ca_f5df07daa7ea1b640f6968436367e1c33772ad91.jpg5b6fc4f2a000c654c679c5dc3d6af8d9_c47fc9a1ff0f9b85693ac0a6322a57d7162dd498.jpg

3M makes a good kit too. Varying levels of sandpaper with a drill attachment and a final buffing compound. My truck headlights still look fine, but it worked great on an older Outback.

Yeah, I am definitely on the lookout for that, but I keep it in the garage so hopefully that'll help

I never knew who made the kit they used. I only know it's worth it for the 5 year warranty and I won't have to spend all my time doing it myself. It really is a great deal to good to pass up on.

Wet sand up to 2000 grit and then use Spar Urethane. If you want to come to Raleigh I have the urethane and have done this.

I did my wives jeep this last weekend and they came out pretty good. It took me about a hour total with the 3m kit.

The urethane looks good. Haven't done that to the lights. I hear that it helps the longevity of the light
