The bell tumblers were replaced a year and a half ago when i bought the truck. Now the front cable snapped right at the exposed part of the cable under driver door. fairly certain the system will still operate with just the front cable replacement, but dealer said replace all...im sceptical. They also quoted 600-700 for passenger seatbelt tensioner that was throwing an airbag dummy light in, but the tech straightened out the pins and got it to clear. I hope it stays clear........

So i bought the front cable and i'll try to swap out tomorrow and let you guys know how it went. Any tips before hand would be nice from anyone familiar with 04 parking brake cables and replacing them.

I'm also upgrading my sound system and exhaust system(4 kicker mids/highs, jl audio stealthbox 10" blabla, :) jl audio 500w mono amp, both wired to 2ohm so 500w straight for sub only.) have a hole in muffler, bought a bosal replacement, says it mounts right up no mods needed. we'll see :)
Already put a pioneer head unit its the FH-X720BT.....HIGHLY recommend this if you have an 04. slaps right in, NO trim kit required, looks NICE sounds NICER, the bluetooth is crystal clear, better than the mic on my iphone 5s. plus its a super cheap great sounding mid range head unit. The functionality with apple is flawless so far in my opinion! I got mine for free cuz Amazon screwed up bigtime, so they just gave it to me.

Really excited to hear this stereo too...it wasnt cheap.

Replacing the parking brake cable is pretty straight forward. Remove and replace.

Good luck on the stereo. Sounds like you have a good one.
