But hello I'm new to the forum, I live in SoCal, and drive a 2000 Toyota Tacoma prerunner. I recently put a new motor in my truck. And now all I need to do is get tires I'm between cooper stt pro discoverers, or Toyo m/t's. Well hello to everyone and the staff members of TW.

Welcome aboard, looks like you have a professional shop there with the old phone wiring boards in the background and the giant sink. And working very clean I might add!

As for tires, do you want looks, performance or durability? I suspect your daily driving will be on paved roads, and probably hot, high speed highways...and those tires will do great in the mud, but lousy in highways, they will wear fast and be noisy. I just ditched my half worn Cooper AT3 and went to Michelin LTX MS2 for noise and tire wear issues and I live off a dirt road, off a dirt road in the national forest.

My studded snows will go on just before the first big winter storm hits!

if you're looking to get long life of the tires then go with the toyo.
got close to 80k out of my set and probably could've rode another 10k on em but wanted some new treads.
only difference is im in a 2nd gen double cab which is probably a little heavier
i loved the toyo on and off road, didn't go with them again only because i couldn't shell out the money this time around

either way they both are nice looking tires

Haha I'm always trying to stay clean. I'm looking for looks and durability and performance in every kind of condition.
