Clear plastic rock guard, paint protection diy or have dealer install

    1.)Is there any preferred if any manufactures out there that I can purchase the clear plastic rock guard protection clear plastic and install myself?
    Dealer wants almost 1k for hood/door edges/mirrors/headlights and door handles

    I am tempted to buy this diy plastic protectors about half the price~$500

    2.) dealer wanted to sell me a paint sealer? To fill in paint pores from factory?
    Cost almost 1k?
    Is there any other product out there that does the same or similar I can do myself?

    Any help appreciated.

    I'm still on the fence with the plastic rock protectors (an unexpected furnace replacement took away that option for a while anyways), but I went to a local detail shop for the paint sealer. It was about half the price and according to them way better quality. I got Xprotect installed, the dealer offered diamondcote.
