    Aloha all! First post :D

So I'm in the process of picking between 33s or 35s. My tuck is already regeared to 5.29s with a 3 in body and 3 in suspension lifts respectively.

I live in Hawaii (Big Island specifically) and often have to travel over saddle road (basically a long hill with a fairly steep grade). This truck is my dd but with all the 4x4 spots available here it's my rig as well. Probably do about 70% on road and 30% off. The "highway" driving here is pretty different than most places in the continental US. There's rarely long stretches of flat ground and most of it has some grades of varying degree. I'd like to be able to get over saddle without going 35mph.

Currently I'm running stock 31s sports. My speedo is off by 3-4mphs and revs a little higher than I'd like

With the 2.7L, is 35s too heavy when climbing mountains?

Will 33s be too small for my gears?

What size will restore my speedo and can I still run my truck even if my speedo isn't 100% accurate?

With 5.29 gears, will driving with stock tires hurt my truck?

Is it bad to have my "ECT" button on as I'm already reving high to begin with?

Hopefully someone that's from the island can answer this or even someone from a state that has a lot of mountains.

icon stage 10 kit, toytec 1" bl, 35" general x3s, 17x9.5 procomp wheels, locker anytime mod, s&b intake, blackhawk 2.1 tune,
That 3" body lift should make it easy to clear 35s. If u get 33s id remove the body lift.

Seems your already geared pretty good for 35s

Thanks for the reply. I'd like to get 35s but I don't want to make my dd a complete slug. It's an awesome 4 banger but every 4 cylinder has its limits

    Would 35s make the 2.7L a dog?

What kind of top speed am I looking at?

Didn't think about removing the body lift. Would it help with the mpgs if I did?
