Well after Toyota messed up my first order we ordered another one. DCSBTRDOR. With the first build the salesman thought the tow package was standard but 2 days before it arrived at the dealer he realized it's not standard. So we reordered the same configuration just with the tow package now. Do you guys have any idea of when it will be built?

    No.

Once you have a VIN or temp VIN you can get a pretty good idea though.

Yea it's a load of crap the tow package isn't standard anymore with the V6. You should make sure you're paying pretty close to invoice if not right st invoice at that point. I made sure they put the tow package when I ordered. Not even that I plan on towing much if at all, but it's there for the rare occasion. My last Tacoma I didn't plan on using for towing and ended up helping a friend tow roughly 2 tons for a 3 hour trip. Tacoma handled it no problem.

Mine took slightly over a month to come in. Tow pkg was my only option. Seems to vary greatly though depending on region. Hope your second wait isn't too long!

I think at $650 the tow pkg is a no brainier considering all it comes with. Sadly, tow pkg isn't even standard on full size trucks so no surprise Toyota made it an option.

Yea it was a no brainer for me. No current plans to tow, but sometimes things pop-up and it's good to have the capability. Plus I'm planning on this Tacoma being with me til it dies. That's a long time and I'm sure the need to tow could come up.

Me too! I never tow, but wanted it cause I'm sure at 1 point in the future that will change. If not, oh well, it wasn't an expensive option and I think the transmission cooler is good to have towing or not.

Your dealer can get you the VIN. When you have that, post a note to Letsgoplaces to track it's progress.

Yeah I waited about 7 weeks for my taco to come in and now I gotta wait again. It's just very demoralizing. I was looking so forward to picking it up. But instead I'm stuck waiting again.
