I haven't ever noticed anything to be completely honest. Maybe the compressor/fan? :notsure: Have you checked your cabin air filter located behind the glove box? I'm sure some others will chime in here shortly.

If it's not the obvious leaf or debris stuck in the fan then it is most likely the "chirping" issue which is very common on Tacomas without the latest model blower motor. It's a noise that clicks or chirps caused by poor lubrication on the bearing I believe. If you search the forums for "blower motor chirping noise" you will see mounds of info about how to go about lubricating the motor however the only way to permanently fix this (if it's the issue) is to replace the blower motor with the latest motor which u think is number -044. I just did this as my 07' was making this noise more and more often.

One can never have too many light bars.
I had that once and a stick somehow got into my a/c intake, tore through the filter and was hitting the fan. I bet if you took out your cabin air filter and put your hand down by the fan you will pull out whatever is causing the issue.
