I will be adding this to the installed MTO plate already on the gate, at some point...........subbed

 

Question.....Didn't see it in either thread.......Can the oem plastic cap be used over the MTO cap or vice versa? Or is it one or the other thing? I'd like it to be a bit taller so the seal from the trifold would actually touch. Right now with oem only there is about 1/8th gap, which is OK but would rather it sealed. Not gonna use the foam strip that came with the cover.

 

Unfortunately it is only one or the other. The reason being is the plastic cap has a bunch of tabs underneath to snap into the tailgate. I could've put them on our cap but it wouldn't look good when people didn't want to use the plastic.

 

So the holes won't reach or sit right with the plastic oem under the MTO one? Looks like it might...........

 

I say go for it and let us know what you come up with.

 

I just might.....if I don't run across something else I'd rather do with $65, lol............
