    Hey,

Name is Amilcar(Mickey). From Key West FL. Got a 2012 Tacoma TRD PreRunner. Awesome truck. I do almost all for my car(don't trust dealer or private mechanics much, since i've been burned by them 2 or three times too many). Looking forward to good information from the posts in the forums here.

Thanks Joe. Recently got back from Puerto Rico. Was down there for a few years with the Coast Guard and now I'm back to main land, although not so much(Key West). Got the truck down there in PR and brought it with me. The dealer down here in Key West didn't want to honor my warranty because they say it(my truck) was not bought in the US. But they didn't understand that PR is a US territory. Anyways, I got warranty from Homestead FL, below Miami, and they will be working any issues I have with my truck now. Harsh shifting is what i'm experiencing. It should be a matter of recalibration for the tranny(so I hope). Looking at all kinds of threads here to see what I can use.

    Welcome man.

Cool cool...couple buds I work with went to PR for a few years with our job (just to try it out) and came back a few months ago. They've got some stories man expecially about vehicle ownership and the repair/taxation process. We also sent 6 dudes of the Paris, France (CDG) a few weeks ago who are gonna return next month...needless to say they will have some stories too...in fact they've already shared some of the stories pretty early yesterday.

I'm pretty familiar with the MIA and upper key area tho have only visited EYW area once and it's been a while. Have done some off shore off Islemorada and loaded up on red snapper and dolphin...I mean like my arm was cramping and I had to take a break.

I'm sure some cat on here has had a similar event as you and will chim in on the tranny. If not post it up in the 2nd Gen section....
