I took my 2014 DCSB OR Taco in for service yesterday and the dealer had a couple of 2016 DCSB TRD Sports 4x4 sitting there. SO .... I was able to test drive one. The one I drove was loaded up with sun roof, heated seats , heated mirrors , blind spot warning, phone charger pad, JBL and premium tech package or whatever you call it. Pretty much from what I gathered Leather was about the only thing not making it a Limited. I really like the truck! Seemed to have a little more room then my 2014 and I felt like the motor had a little more pep then my 4.0. Also it rode a little smoother. It looks a lot better in person then any pics I've seen. I liked the looks of the sport hood from the outside but not from behind the wheel. I will admit when I got back in my 2014 from behind the wheel I do like my shorter hood better. But overall I was impressed with the new Taco. I have another 18 months to go on my current lease but I've pretty much decided a Gen 3 Taco will be my next truck. They also had a DCSB 4x4 OR and a SR5 DCLB 4x4.

That seems to be the opposite opinion of everyone else who's gone from a 2nd gen to a 3rd lol.

I think the transmission is to blame for that one. The new engine has 278 HP so it's not a weak engine.

Curious to see how many aftermarket tuners that attack shift points there will be...

    Glad I got a manual!
