My mom drives a '05 Tacoma. She is getting on in years, and has difficulty getting around. She walks with a cane, but I was thinking of getting her a "car cane" (handle that fits onto u-bolt of door latch to assist in getting into / out of truck). Do I need to worry about the bolt bending if she puts too much weight on it? I have too good manners to ask, but she probably doesn't weigh more than 160 at the very max.

    Thanks!

I pretty much think Door Strikers are plenty strong on all vehicles because I believe they have to be strong enough to hold the doors closed in a crash test.

You are fine. Those are hardened and there is a large flange behind them to make the mounting area very strong.

Thanks! That's what I thought, but not being much of a car guy I thought I'd get a second opinion.
