Maybe someone designs a replacement front bumper, made out of some type of metal, to make it stronger, eliminating the need for a bull bar.
    What do you guys think?

I'm sure there will be a bunch of aftermarket bumper options. Give it time and I bet the usual 2nd gen fabricators will I've bumpers available. I'm hoping Pelfreybilt has something good.

Yep! I'm sure there are going to be some available. I was just thinking of a replacement for the small part sticking out, but definitely not something like the iron cross bumpers.

Hi ! Here's the only picture I have of mine (Access TRD off road) without the a.r.e cap I had installed today.
I trust you to easily figure out which truck is the Tacoma. :D
After lots of pondering, I made my decision to "go new" on Wednesday, last week. The dealer had only one freshly arrived, it was black, I was fine with that color, and I, too, picked it up on Friday the 13th.
I wasn't too sure about black at first, but I'm now very pleased with it. I wasn't a fan of the trd grille, I prefer the sr5's one. But it looks good on black and I'll get use to it. It's not just a grille I bought anyway ! :)
So far, after a few days, I'm pleased with it. I like all the features, no complains about how it runs. It's my first tacoma, so I can't compare with other generation of it. I have great hopes to own it for a long time.
Tomorrow, I'll try to upload a picture with the cap installed. You'll see how it looks.

Thanks for showing me my truck on order. Very nice, now I know who received my order... :) I saw one at the custom shop that had the grill painted body color, it was very nice. Wish I would have taken a picture. I'm ordering color match fender extensions and changing out the black ones ( I think ?)

We're waiting together for the same truck haha. I don't see a reason to color-match the fender flares when they and the truck are both black :p I like the hard plastic, won't rust from trail scratches :)

oups... I should have known some are still waiting for their order... I didn't mean to gloat about the great timing I had getting mine. Sorry about that, I really wish you to get yours soon !

I can say that "stock", it's a really good looking truck. I don't think I'll change anything on it. The grille is fine and it would be worst if I do a bad paint job on it. Everything else is black on black and I can live with it. It's all a matter of taste ! You'll see for yourself soon !
