Good evening folks. I have a 2002 Tacoma, 4 cylinder, extra cab, that I bought for my son, 2 WD and about 190k miles. When I drive it, and either come to a stop, or pulling away from a stop, and my hand is resting on the shift know, I notice that it moves a little fore and aft. While it was in the shop after we first bought it, with a key broke in the ignition, the Toyota tech suggested that it may be the motor mounts. Looking for some opinions and if this is something I can do in the garage and save some $$. Would love to do it with my son so we can both learn a little. Thanks in advance for any help.

Ritchie thanks for the post, not sure why I didn't see this until now, but I think we'll try it out! Thanks again!

No problem... as an up-date, I did the same to my auto trans mount too.
Now, having both set up this way, the Inch Work Lefty 4.7 won't have a chance to peel the trans mount.

    Good luck.
