Then don't buy the truck until you can afford to pay cash or get that payment down. Honestly if you can afford $700 per month on a Taco it won't take you very long to sock away enough money to bring down the monthly risk. Silly to take out mega loans when you have that much wiggle room in your disposable income.
The 3rd Gen Taco will still be there in a year. And honestly with all the problems people have had with this new truck, I would wait at least that long. This forum is starting to look like the Ford forums with all the problems lol.

Also why is your insurance $200 a month? Should not be that high. Nowhere near that high.

That is a good rate. I pay around 350 on my current runner for 6 months and that is with an excellent driving record and multiple discounts for having auto, home and motorcycle all with the same company. Who is your carrier?

We are putting down over half of the OTD price so our payments are around 200-300 a month for the truck, depending on exactly how much we choose to finance. I would have bought outright but I need to build credit as I have no history, just a score of 810 from a few credit cards and bank accounts never missing a payment for 12 years.

Ahahaha loved that Ford Forum part. Well I'm waiting. Like you said the truck will still be here, I'm leaning towards purchasing a house. At least I can get a deduction for insurance.

Thanks for the input. Sorry for the BS lol.
