    The 'unsanded drywall' look is pretty popular for apartments, actually. A lot of people like how it looks, and it's easy for landlords to fix if their tenants dent it or poke it full of holes for hanging pictures. When I was working for a building contractor we did 3-4 apartments for him in that style. Not that I minded, either, because I HATE doing drywall.

    If you are cramped for space but need to be able to carry water, heat water, have something to cook with, and of course wash the funk off they are really worth considering. Only thing I'd change on it would be to swap out the shower head hose for something around ten foot long.
