agreed why fix whats not broken they gave it a facelift but all around people liked the size and look of the second gen

power seats would be convenient but because most people off road with these the less low electronics the better (this coming from someone who muds through ponds) one less thing to short out. as for more headroom being 6'3" im constantly hitting my head on my 13 and while test driving a 16 it doesnt seem to have any more room, you still have to consider this is a midsized truck ya adding 2 inches to the height wouldnt hurt but its what it is..

I think that a lot of 2nd gen people would do well to realize that most of them will be driving a 3rd gen within the next 5 years. The ego over this with some people is astounding.

It is the same truck with different body panels and a new engine in the v6 offering. I am personally a huge fan of that since why fix it if it's not broken? They didn't fix the few things that are broken, but what are you gonna do, buy a Colorado?

I think the 2nd gens are ugly. The headlights are huge, the grill is too high, the flares look like disgusting thunder thighs, and the steering wheel doesn't telescope.

Bahahahaha the headlights are huge? clearly your talking about prior 2012 and disregarding the massive grill and underbite on the new truck, but looks and opinions are all subjective.

I guess that makes sense, but maybe if they just did that on Off-road models. The rest of us like power seats.

Even my patrol car has power seats. Its convenient when you share the car and have to adjust the seat daily. I wasn't too concerned for it on my truck since I knew my wife wouldn't be driving it much. More importantly I'd rather have power seats with a few memory settings. After the wife drives it, I'd like to just press a button and everything reverts back to my settings instead of me spending the next day or two trying to get it back to where it was. That been around since the 90's, so I would have loved to see it on the new Tacoma. Not a deal breaker by any means.

Side note... I'm 6'3" and have no issues with the headroom. Interesting how that works out lol

I agree...just about the only thing I hate is the grill. Realistically I'll be in the market again in 3-5 years...and that tan (quicksand?) color is calling to me already!

Of course not. But the V6 engine and 6spd auto trans is new to the Tacoma. This could good or bad. Maybe good because some had piston slap and other problems on the previous V6. Maybe bad because this is the first year of the new power train. Lot's of electronics in engine and trans. Engine is complex with port and direct injection. New interior with new electronics.
