I have a 09 and the running light have melted the plastic on the inside lense. Since I am going to replace the full head light assembly I want to get some input on what I could do other than just replacing them with OEM lights. Any recommendations on nice aftermarket lights or any other options to change up the look of my truck.IMG_20150827_184023.jpg

There's a warranty extension to replace the headlights due to melting DTRL at any mileage good till the end of Oct IIRC

There's a thread with the TSB specs and VIN ranges covered kicking around

    Uh oh

Well , I didn't see you were in Canada . We got screwed by Toyota as usual and the warranty extension for Canada ran out at the end of last year

    Of course. That's ridiculous.
Thanks anyway. Do you have any options you could recommend to replace the lights? Something relatively inexpensive and something that look nice. I've seen alot of different pictures but hard to tell what lights they have.
    Thanks

Sucks to hear, Canada always gets the American shaft. I have seen a few sets of 05-11 floating around online for $50. Good luck.

I have an '08 that came without DTRLs. I ordered the DTRL kit from eBay and installed it about 4 years ago, and of course my lenses look like the surface of the sun. On a hunch I decided to take it in this morning to see if I could get them changed out, even though my VIN was not included in the TSB - called me about 11:00 said they had them in stock and were finished!! Looks nice!
