They are. They look brighter with a slightly longer exposure.

Thanks! I am pretty happy with how they came out. Amazon lights with some brackets fab'd from aluminum angle, original idea from MWOP.

Hello, Tacoma World! I just joined and saw this thread. I have a 2005 Super White PreRunner with the TRD Sport package. Has anyone else experienced problems with the Super White paint? I'm extremely meticulous about taking care of my truck and have always kept it waxed and maintained but, over the past couple years, my paint has begun chipping in several areas. It is mainly on the front section of my hood, but has spread to the returns around all four door windows. I'm trying to avoid the cost of a decent paint job and am extremely frustrated with it.

My question was to see if anyone else with the Super White paint experienced a similar issue. Although, after reading my post again, the end does sound like a solicitation for ideas for repair. My fault. Maybe I'll try this "Touchup paint" of which you speak.

the touch up paint pens never really worked for me.. they always come out too thick, dont blend nicely, etc. I kinda gave up.. big chips from wheeling i'll attempt to fix.. but they never look that great.. good from a distance, but up close they look like poo..

for the eyelids.. I would just do Plastidip or the actual duplicolor.

I say Derp because no need to worry about overspray, prep etc.. especially on a headlight lens.. pretty unforgiving imo. with the derp.. you can just lay a piece of painters tap for your line/cutoff.. then spray away. plus.. if you dont like the line you laid down, or the eyelids in general, you can peel em off.

thinking of doing this method myself... just to see.

Super White has the clear coat mixed in with the paint I believe. Most of the other colors get a separate clear coat on top. This may be why it chips easier, Im not sure.

Odd. My paint still looks pretty flawless (especially hood area) on my 05. I have heard anyone else having chipping/flaking issues. I would do a vinyl wrap on it maybe.

I'm gonna have a buddy of mine do gloss white vinyl wrap on rocker panels soon though.
