an ex sent me this, she was shopping around for an Inferno Taco to match her firecrotch and came across this.

how many differences are there between Canadian and South Canadian (USA) Tacos?

this one seems to have cherry picked items from the Prem&Tech package while still retaining the chrome bumpers. also do Canadians not get Qi Wireless charging?

The Qi Wireless charger is part of a package. I have it my truck. The dealership in the video is the dealership where I bought my truck from.

 

Yes, we get a very different build then the enemies to the south.

We do not get Qi in anything but a limited build.

I know these are my TRD differences in the sense that when you take the "TRD Off-Road package" it comes one way. I would say we get more however we don't get a double cab short box option.

Off the top of my head.

Heated seats, heated mirrors, tow package (which contains all upgrades coolers), and chrome bumpers, LED day time running lights, LED tail lights, Mud guards.

** forgot - we also get Dual Zone climate control **

We do not get (and can't option in addition on the TRD Off-Road) what the US "tech package" package is in some regards.
No to Qi wireless, JBL and Blind spot detection.

So for me it works fantastic because it's exactly the truck and features I wanted. I hate nothing more then wanting heated mirrors and seats out of a package but have to take and pay a lot more for other features i don't want / use.

 

i'm really jealous you guys get the choice of 6M in an AC TRD OR-- that was my dream config.

the Qi is a little gimmicky to me. the truck in that video almost mirrors what i have on order. i only went with the tech package for dual zone AC, rear sonar, and colour-keyed bumper.

is there a Canadian option to ditch the chrome?

 

No we couldn't, I asked because I would much rather have colour matched bumper on my AC TRD OR.

I was happy to find it's just fake / painted so I will just wrap it black along with the lower portion of the tailgate.

In fact I would have loved it to be textured like the fenders even more.

 

generous coats of Plasti-Dip give a textured look. also a lot of guys are going the Line-X route.

 

I have the TRD Sport with the upgrade package and I have the Qi Wireless charger. Didn't have to get the limited in order to get that.
It also has the Homelink and blindspot monitoring. Don't know why you are saying you can only get those options in the Limited.

 

My mistake in regards to the Qi / Limited.

It's more the TRD OR that was in question. I was under assumption the Qi was a limited option only, but I guess it is the sport tech package then as you have pointed out.
