Slightly off topic, but Roman, I was looking at your build page and noticed in one pic your brake upgrade...what rotor/pad combination did you go with and how to you like them? I'm thinking of upgrading to dimpled rotors.

They are nice. Don't really notice a difference because the truck is so heavy.

I went with the power stop slotted/drilled rotors off rock auto and autozone gold pads.

I did have a lot of issues with braking at first, actually blew out a caliper. The combo takes about a week or two to settle and wear in and then you'll finally get a good sturdy peddle.

I've read arguments against slotted due to possibility of stress cracking and that dimpled is preferred, but can also see that only being an issue under HEAVY and FREQUENT braking, not normal city/highway driving.

Did you upgrade to SS brake lines also? I'm very close to biting the bullet on the ongoing group buy for SS Goodrich lines. $106 for set of 4 delivered!

There may be a chance to overuse them but I rarely drive the truck and when I do it's highway or wheeling.

I have SS lines all the way around. It's nice to do if you plan to have lots of suspension travel but the fronts don't really need it if you don't do LT. I paid $120 for all mine so I guess $106 is a deal.. Haha

I personally had a terrible experience with the Rock Auto powerstop kit. I did the whole thing and all rotors had "warped" within 10k miles. They cant be turned either...well, nobody will risk their machines. The pads are still on mine, but I went with Brembo blanks...any good solid rotor is best. Ive heard good about Centric Fleet stuff...supposedly quite heavy duty

I did see this on CL though... http://cincinnati.craigslist.org/ptd/5276091607.html

If there is a chance you are wasting cash might as well not pay retail!

I haven't had any recent issues. They are doing good. Wagner and Centric stuff is making a come back and getting better. That's what we put on customer cars. Napa isn't too bad either

LR UCA's installed this morning. Very easy installation, I was anticipating the worst but I had each side done in about 45 minutes. Took it to Roman for an alignment today. Night and day difference in handling. I drove in for the alignment doing about 10mph under, sketchy and wandering all over the road and horrible bump steer, and out about 20 over! Bump steer is gone and its locked in. Amazing what the correct caster settings will do!

Just finished up my blue sea panel this week. Heated seats and constant on usb chargers going in tomorrow. Will put 12v socket and bed lights in when spring comes. @pelfeybuilt bracket to mount fuse panel on.

Nice! Thats what Im doing but the fuse panel will go in the bed storage bin on the drivers side. I fly model airplanes and I'm always charging batteries while I fly from the back of my truck. The 12v will come in handy back there.

On that note, I have a set of Tundra brakes here that I'm about to add to my truck, unfortunately the douche I bought them from had lost a slider pin and neglected to mention that until after I'd paid him. Looks like I have to spend some more moneys.

At the end of the summer I uprgraded to the dimpled and slotted EBC's with yellow stuff pads. Huge difference, a lot more solid braking, which was greatly needed with the 35's and all the weight from the armor.
