Hi my name is Josh i just purchased a "new to me" 2009 Tacoma Pre-runner 4.0 base with a 114k miles for a local dealer in my area. I am a formal BMW/MINI technician but now work on Volvo/Mack Trucks in Tech Support. I do most to all of my vehicles maintenance myself. So far have several quick mods/maint items that i plan to do over the next few weeks. Since my truck does not have Cruise Control i orderd the retrofit kit from ysfaelksca on ebay. He also provided the needed wire harnes to run down to the ECU as mine did not have the wires run for the cruise. Next i purchased a used oem 05-11 leather steering wheel on the bay and am going to install it as soon as it comes, also i am going to yank the front radio and speakers that sound like an AM radio lol and replace them. And last the truck has the dreaded belt squeal when cold the dealer replaced the belt with a gates, i am attempting to get them to replaced the serpentine tensioner and pullys on it as i looked it up on alldata and its 3.6 hrs just for the tensioner alone. If they wont do it i will install it myself but the truck comes with a 30 day bumper to bumper so i am trying to get them to replace it . I am excited to be on the forum it is already helping me tons !!!!:burnrubber:

Welcome. 3.6 hours to change the tensioner sure seems like a lot. However, I've never changed one so who knows.
