Totaled vehicle and in the market.

Hey there,

Been roaming the forum for a while and been around Toyotas for a while, but with a recent collision with a deer, I am now in the market for a 2nd generation Tacoma.

Just a few questions...

Anywhere I should be looking specifically to finance a Tacoma? I know there are certain dealerships that focus on a consistent stock of Tacoma's. Maybe you guys have had luck with certain ones? I am in California, but can be worked around if its worth it.

What kind of mileage should I be staying under when going into this? I know Toyotas track record and have two in the family over 150k, but still just looking for opinions.

Anything to look for when checking out a used rig? I know there are tons of things to be aware of, but I am talking specifics or common things...

Looking at a 2010 4x4 V6 4.0L DCSB with 57k miles. Headed to the dealership tomorrow to see it and drive it for the first time. Anything specific I should be looking for? Also, no decal on the bed, how else will I be able to tell what trim it has? edited* (V6 SR5 emblem on tailgate after looking at a photo)I know it has a tow package and it has the hood scoop. I was under the impression that meant it was a "Sport"

Check for a bed outlet! and color matched bumpers

 

Unfortunately I have only been sent two photos. Definitely has color matched bumpers and fenders. Cant see the bed outlet yet. Did the 2010's have that?

Okay much appreciated. I was just wondering if it was a TRD with the decal removed. But after seeing the SR5 emblem does that rule it out?
