My son now drives my 2004 Tacoma DC and needs new tires. He found a set of brand new tires and wheels someone pulled of their 2016 Tacoma but hey are a 2.5 hour drive away. 16'' 6 lug wheels on both trucks and both trucks are 4wd. Before we drive all that way will these 2016 wheels fit the 2004? I didn't know if lug pattern may have changed or wheel design changed causing caliper clearance issues (for example).

pretty sure they stayed the same. may want to ask in the third gen forum to be sure though.

also depending on the backspace you may need spacers. If they are the same as 2nd gen sizes you will be fine.
