2015 Tacoma noticed that when I close ONLY the pass front door that I hear a rattle/vibration somewhere behind and between on the OUTSIDE what sounds likes the back door and the bed. anyone heard this and have an idea of ANY rattles on the OUTSIDE as where to start looking before I get on the ground and start snooping?
    thanks

I belive there were some having rattle sounds from wheel well areas. The plastic was loose causing a noise. Go around and shake the plastic above the wheel and see if it makes noise.

I think I might have this issue. Either that or I need to repack the tire changing equipment under the back seat. Had a 2011 PreRunner that rattled as you described. Never even looked for the cause. Sounds pretty much the same though. Might take a look at it this weekend.

I tracked it down to the rear wheel plastic fender liner. It really could use more mounting clips to keep it in tension than it has, so the forward part rattles against the bed. I had the same thing and was like WTF this truck is brand new, there should be no rattles!

Mine does this....I've identied the culprit as being the push pin/fasteners that hold the wheel well liners in place. They loosen up, which causes the liner to rattle when the doors close.

I wonder what the fix for this wheel well liner rattle is.

I'd start will new push fasteners....it doesn't bother me enough to do anything about it.

My truck did it with 200 miles on it, so I don't think new fasteners will help. I think it is the design.

That's a good point and I've noticed that as well when I push in the existing fasteners....the two pieces still wiggle. I wonder if a small rubber/plastic washer(s) bewteen the liner & fender would snug things up.

BOOM... THANK YOU Do 58 for posting this question as I've had the same nois recently in my 15' and a big thank you to crashnburn for the remedy. Went under and pushed on the plastic tabs and the noise went away. Even if it's the party at least I know what is now, thank you again guys.
