I was wondering for you guys who have the pro comp 7089 wheels, how durable is the black coating? I live in New Mexico where there is lots of gravel and rocks. Do they chip easily?

I had a set that went from my 2007 FJ Cruiser, to my '09 TRD Sport Tacoma, and finally to my '13 TRD Sport Tacoma.

Seven northeast winters they went through and they were still in great shape when I sold them for $400 last summer.

a stupid wheel tech scratched one of mine up good, up in terms of rocks, seems pretty good..

I bounced my truck off a tree/rock and the wheel took it like a champ. Nice chip/gouge out the side but held air and saved my tire/truck.

    I was very impressed.

Yeah, you can't go wrong for the price. Mine dont show any signs of wear. I've been very impressed with how they've held up. The only thing that shows age are the center caps on the hub thats seperate from the wheel. The clear plastic stated to haze. I'm gonna paint them dip them.
