    Thanks man, I appreciate it.

Just need to find which wires to tap into for dimmable illumination.

Nothing that Jon or I found in my cab stood out to us.

Just went through the build! Really cool mods you did! and i would say fairly budget friendly. what's your current mileage? im at 182k and it's bone stock. planning to start upgrading some things soon.

    I'm at 196,000 right now.

Thank you for the compliments. I've always wanted to maintain a stock look with mild performance (suspension) upgrades. The rest is just creature comforts and aesthetics.

    Just did it today.

Just cut the G-R and W-G wires out of this clip and ran them to the switchbacks. Illuminated and fully dimmable.

I love it! I just stayed up way past my bedtime to read pretty much your whole build thread. Love the console, love the seats, love the interior work, love the grill (you need a satoshi.. I agree with 45acp), love the Dakar, love the teamwork... Pretty inspirational stuff. Keep it up!

Replaced my stock front brake lines with Wheeler's steel braided. Definitely an immediate and noticeable difference in braking.

    Did not.

Still on my stock rotors with 200,000 miles on them. :)

    And stock pads.

You need to do the Tundra upgrade. MAJOR difference. You will wonder how your truck ever stopped before.

No doubt. But that involves a lot more because I'm on 15s.

Plus I've put 200,000 miles on this truck and stock brakes have done me well.

    this is true.

glad my 3rd gen 4runner came with 17in wheels..

having 15 inch wheels saves you money on tires, doesnt it?

Only 200k? Time to get out and put some miles on that truck.

I wouldn't do it until I needed new tires either. But yeah, start looking for rims, and then when you need tires you might already have them. Then you can jump on the brakes.

    Seriously worth it.

It does. Plus I like the "more rubber, less alloy/steel" idea when it comes to tires.

I'll think about it. Another thing... I love the 95-00 alloy 6 spoke wheels. I know they made them in 2001 in 16s, which are rare. That's the only way I'd think about moving up to 16s is if I could score those for cheap. :)

I went 17s, I like them, but if I was going to do it again, I would do 16s.Tire's are cheaper. I went with the 2nd gen sports wheels. I like the stock look in that regard.

I think those rims you want would like awesome on your truck.

Those style wheels in 16" came on 3rd gen 4runners. They seem pretty common and cheap when I look on craigslist. :notsure:

17's open up way more options in tire size. But I get the more rubber vs rim theory.
My next size will be 285/75-17.
I can sell you my old beat up 16's at that point..:cookiemonster:
