    If the lift uses new spindles that are beefier than the stock ones or flips the tie rod ends you would probably have to go up to a 17" wheel. Otherwise I don't see how it would be required. What size tire are you going to? They probably just want you to get a wider wheel to better fit some wider tires. I think skinny rims and wide tires looks silly but that's just my opinion.

    I think it was procomp, nitro or something,hell I can't remember. Retailed at $275. When I told him what I was looking for he went right to it.

    Ya I'm not familiar with the pro comp lift, I was just throwing some ideas out there. I'm 4x4 and got new spindles with my lift (drop bracket RCD) so it is possible. The shop definitely should have asked about tire size before claiming new rims were needed.
