I could really use some help and guidance with understanding the basics of off-roading. I have been around cars and understand all of the features and capabilities but mostly cars that go around a track, this is my first time owning anything that can handle a few bumps in the road. I figured step 1 was to buy cars that were capable and had the foundation to build on, I think that box is checked off. I believe the second phase is to get my feet wet with a little trail run, this is where it gets tricky. I live in Ohio and can't seem to find anything that offers this experience. I am not sure where to start, what type
Of trail should I start on? I will be going to Canada in a few months and I'm sure I will find a few areas that command a more experienced driver. I know many of you had to start somewhere and I'm just looking to get your input on where to start and what is needed to prepare myself and these machines. Thanks everyone.

Add a lift kit and big tires, then type ohio off road into a google search.
