I'm looking to put an LED light bar on my truck but I honestly don't know enough about every brand to make a good decision and don't know anyone who has any to look at them. I'm looking at putting up maybe a 40" on the top of my cab or possibly a 24 or.......I believe a 30something" in my grill. Just thought I'd ask and see what you guys would recommend. I want a very bright light bar, just regular lighting color, nothing Amber or colored.
    Any recommendations or ideas. Thanks

IME skip the overhead bar unless you can find one that does only tightly controlled spot beams. Mine is a combo spot/flood. The glare produced over the windshield and hood sucks the usefulness right out of it. And if your windshield is dusty, forget about it. They're still nice when you're out of the cab and need to light up an area but really suck when you're driving. They do make shields that are supposed to block the light from heading down, but I don't have one so no idea how well they work. The bar in front of my grill works well though. The light spectrum the LED's put out makes an animals eyes light up from miles away and well out of what I can tell the light spread is. Driving through the mountains with mine on we were picking up deer eys from seriously high angles above us, way way way higher from where we could tell the light was actually going.

That's a 40'ish overhead and a 24'ish down low. They're if memory serves 'eyeyourlife' on Amazon. I have about $200 in the pair. Most every 'brand' out there is the same bar with a different name. They're all from overseas and vary in price greatly depending on who is selling it to you. Rigid is OMG expensive, and same LED's etc, electronics I believe are the same from what I know, just a different reflector housing.

Just driving along at night using headlights and the lower bar, there's no real hot spot on the lights. It's aimed at about the same place as my headlights are. The peripheral spread though is really impressive, street signs are painfully bright at night.
