If I were to go second gen however, id really try to get one that is 2012 and up. The redesign looks a lot better and quality is a bit better.

Where are you located, OP? Or at least a general estimate.

Also, I'm staring at cars.com, and the cheapest 4-door brand new is listed at $21,495 - that's within 500 miles of me. It's a base model, but the base price of the '15 Taco was sub-$20k. Cheaper ones than $30k can be had - but it's trading things that you may want.

There's still plenty of affordable '15 4-doors out there to be had, but they'll probably only be around for another few months!

Southern California. I have looked for a truck from Anaheim, CA to Bakersfield, CA. I am willing to drive.

I bought a 2015 double cab sr5 prerunner with 5 miles, it was listed at 29,500 ended up getting them down to 26,750. They took 2 grand off because I told them I wanted MGM but all they had was SSM.

So I decided to buy the 2011 Toyota Tacoma SR5, they made me a deal I could not pass on. Thanks for helping on the decision. I am glad to be part of the Tacoma family, time to start modding.

Here it is. Needs some black wheels and a lift though.

I'd recommend reading through here for hours and hours and hours.

Pretty much anything you can think of - someone else has already done it and posted about it within this forum.

So much knowledge - read away!
