Ehhhh, I think there are better options out there and at better prices... They just don't say Yeti on em.

The lid is what kills it for me... $30 plus, it should at least come with a screw-on sealable lid!

I bought a cheap insulated 20 oz wide mouth bottle and it keeps ice in water overnight... Plus it came with a sealed top and a screw on coffee sipper lid, one that actually closes.

And I agree, Yeti lost my business when they closed shop and moved to China... And actually increased their prices afterward!

Just look at the build thread
Chinese or not, my 30oz Yeti Rambler holds ice for 12+ hours in direct sunlight in the Texas 100+ degree days. Absolutely the best cup ever.

Being a dairy farmer I always bought the best cup I could find for my coffee. Probably bought 30 in 30 years. I never had anything even close to this Yeti for keeping coffee hot and if I make iced tea and leave it on my desk most of the ice will still be in it in the am! My wife bought it. I never would have given $30 for what I figured was the same as everyone else's.

If they ever make a redesign with a sealable lid I'll definitely get one. For now I have a contigo thermos thing and it works great. And it is leak proof.

I'm sure the YETI one is badass. And like I said, once it gets a locking spill proof lid I'll probably get one. But for now my contigo mug works pretty well.

Edit: I must say the YETI lid is probably just fine unless you have a 2 year old. My locking contigo mug has been dropped plenty of times and no spills.

I bought one on a whim Friday night. Got the 20 oz rambler. To be 100% I couldn't tell much if any difference between a Tervis cup and this one for hot coffee also j dont take 2 hours to drink a cup soooo.. I didn't use a thermometer so it wasn't scientific. I have yet to try ice in it.
