It's a bit of mess honestly haha. And yeah I said the same thing. Mirrors are a bit overkill

did some of this yesterday...one good thing about being in a new state...so many new trails to explore

went up by Bakersfield to see what that area had to offer...

early on...a fun section a little later on this trail at the creek crossing...muddy descent to a rocky climb out
    [IMG]

further along, the climb gets fun
    [IMG]

mucky, off-camber section on part of the climb turned us around...needed more time in the day...some maxtrax and/or winch could have made it through and continue on...locked f&r almost made it through, but i stopped before tearing things up much more...

love all these shady bridges...and glad there's bypasses haha
    [IMG]

the creek climb would be a sweet trail..but signs above point the trail away from there...might have been at one point..

and what a great sunset last night..

that explains a lot. didn't look like it was ready for trucks haha. with such a small creek crossing, the bridge seemed like overkill

    a bunch of new/used parts....and some skids.
Took me long enough to find the Vermonter TW.

I'm over in Burlington and I've been slowly bringing my taco back into stock, and modding a few things along the way.

My exhaust stays have rusted through completely and I finally got hold of the new ones. I'm looking to have someone weld one of the ends onto the exhaust. Is anyone here a welder? I can bring some beer fer yer time.

Figured I'd bump this with winter finally showing up and all. Wondering if any of you have hit any snowy trails. I've done a whole lot of nothing with my truck since October.

Yeah it wasn't the toastiest of mornings today. Washing trucks at my work tonight wasn't fantastic either. Nothing like being soaked when it's below zero outside.

Anybody by Lowell, I'll be spending a few days in early February up in a cabin. Planning on hitting Jays Peak as I've never been snowboarding or skiing, would love to hit some easy trails if there are any up that way?

I've personally snowboarded just about every mountain in VT, but have never gotten around to Jay. If it wasn't so damn expensive I'd do it. If you ever venture towards the Burke area let me know, they're prices aren't stupid expensive on Sundays.

Neither myself nor my gf have ever skied or snowboarded. We planned on doing the trails sticking to cross country type or snow shoeing. We're not 100% sure yet

Snowboarding really isn't too hard to learn, find a nice straight and moderately steep hill and off you go. Just have to make sure you don't catch an edge or you'll either fall on your back, or on your face depending on which edge you catch. But it can also be extremely frustrating to new boarders. If you're looking to just enjoy yourself, I'd go for snowshoeing. But if you want to learn how to board go for it, just expect to do a lot of falling at first. It's great fun once you learn how to do it. My best advice, wear a helmet. I see way too many new boarders get hurt because they don't have one, catch an edge while toe turning and it's a nice way to smash your head off of some ice and end your day real quick.

When I say expensive, I mean expensive for a broke kid like me haha. They're reasonable just not for someone like me who makes barely over minimum.
