All the ones I find list it separately just like my sport does--here's one for a 2010 TRD OR that does:

List's it separately, but down at the bottom, shows a deduct for "extra value package MSRP discount".

My sport sticker says the same.

I believe the tow package is what is standard, the frame mounted Reece type receiver is an added cost.

Ummm, NO, it will not run your blow dryer, it will actually power absolutely nothing that generates heat. I have run a standard box fan with it, but a hair dryer? No way. too many amps.

The TRD models have better seats for sure.

Tow package includes a standard Class IV receiver hitch. The drop bar and tow ball are not included.

The towing package is listed as an Option on the Window Sticker, but it is a required Option.

Might have already been said but based on your location Toyota "forced" the tow package.

Here's the specs on what came with my 2006 Prerunner OR package:
F OC TRD Off-Road Package: Offroad Tuned Susp w/ Bilstein Shocks, 16" Alloy Wheels w/P265/70R16 BF Goodrich Tires, Locking Rear Diff, Engine Skid Plate, Fr Tow Hook, 115V/400W Deck Mtd Power Point, Fog Lamps, Pwr Windows/Door Locks/Mirrors, Remote Keyless Entry, Cruise Control, Variable Speed Wipers, Multifunction O/H Console w/Compass & Temp Gauge, Chrome Grille Surround & Rr Bumper, Color-Keyed Fr Bumper & Overfenders, Sliding Rr Window w/Privacy Glass, Sport Seats w/Drvr Lumbar Support in place of Bucket Seats, Sport Fabric Trim, Metallic Tone Instr Panel Trim, Leather Strng Wheel & Shifter, Sunvisors w/Mirrors & Extenders, TRD Offroad Graphics

I don't have the tow package. That may be a regional thing. I have a tow hitch but that's it.

Well I wanted as heavy duty as I could get, so I didn't have to be sold on the tow package. Just made sense to me since I was already spending $4,070 for the off road.

    Agreed.
I was just saying that sometimes Toyota makes you get options without a choice.

Good point. In fact on my sticker it says "tow package for off road package" at the top of the list of tp features. That kind of links the two at the sales level...
