I will be installing AAL this week. I wanted to quickly run this by and take your opinion: What is the best point/s to place jack stands to hold the truck up(considering the axle has to free to move up and down)? Is it right in front of the leaf spring under the cab or frame point near the hitch?

Not 100% sure, but wouldn't it be under the cab? Like closest to the rear, near a pinch weld. :notsure:

The position that will hold the truck the highest with the stand in it's shortest (strongest) position possible.

So in front of the front spring mount.

If you have another pair, you can put them under the axles as a safety to 'catch' the diff should it move too much.

I would do it under the frame as far back as you can and then i would also try to use 2 Jacks, One to leave under the hitch just incase the truck rocks and a jack stand falls out and then one under the rear diff to lower and raise it. That is how i have done it in the past installing my leaf packs and helping others with AAL's and what not.
