So I just purchased my Tacoma last night and on my way home and this morning I noticed a small vibration when I come to a stop. It almost seems like the brakes are not grabbing all the way and it is causing this. I have read a lot of comments on here about vibrations but I'm not sure this is similar. It almost seems like an alignment issue or something is shaky when coming to a stop. Is it cause the car is new and maybe the brakes are just getting settled in or maybe even the tires? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I would take it in to the dealer. You don't see many people with this issue.

I have the same issue although I believe the transmission tuning is at fault, almost like it doesn't know what gear to downshift to. Mine only happens once I hit speeds of 25 mph and under while braking. Dealer said it was normal but to me, that just means they are clueless to what is causing it...

I have a 2013 but my truck's brakes had a slight vibe when it was brand new. I believe it was because the brakes weren't bedded because I made one really hard stop from like 20 mph, not locked up but a very hard stop and the vibe competely went away after that.

does not sound like balance or alignment. I would guess it is new truck break-in but worth a trip to the dealer to make note of it.

First check that the tire pressure matches the label in the door jamb. They are always over inflated at the dealership.

I would also take a look at your discs and make sure there isn't a grease spot on one of them or something that would cause that slight twitch under light to moderate braking.

All 4 tires are at 30 psi. Shouldn't they be closer to 35?

They should be at the number that is on the label inside the drivers door jamb.

Update. Took in the truck this morning for the appointment to have it looked at, they gave me a rental car and sent me on my way. Few hours later I got a call to come pick it up, they said 2 tires were unbalanced, thought that was weird but ok. They said they had their master tech look at it and that fixed the vibration. Drove the 45 minutes and got the truck. 2 minutes driving it I turned back around and went back to the dealership. The vibration was still there, I do not understand how this happened. They apologized a hundred times and got the service manager involved to try and understand the problem and fix it.
Can anyone please tell me what i should do? This truck is less than a week old and they can't even find out the problem. They have their top techs working on it now and hoping to hear back soon. What happens if they can't find a solution? Thanks

OP... Look at the PSI on your door jamb... MIne says 29 psi............ And , by the way it came from the dealer with 36 psi in all 4 tires... where's the quality control..?... Quality control is YOU... F the dealer's snotty-nosed 17yr old with the grade 9 education...
