I have a 2012 Tacoma Prerunner that is a base model, w/o the SR-5 or TRD packages,
and I want to use a Tacoma remote keyfob that I got on Ebay to lock and unlock the doors with, and I am hoping someone knows how that can be made possible . I tried to go through the steps to program the keyfob, but the truck did not confirm by auto locking/unlocking when I did the steps of the programming for keyles entry. Is there a way to install the necessary electronics into the truck to make it work with the stock Toyota wireless transmitter keyfob made for this year Tacoma ? Any Ideas and/or help would be much appreciated. Thanks. -J.
