Flying in from the Alaska bush into town today, need help identifying a part for a friend. So far no luck in getting a replacement. The part is 12 inches long and hooks to the clutch rod pedal and then to the clutch assembly.

1981 ford ecoline van, 4.9L, 6cyl, standard clutch 4 speed.

If you can't find one, you can build one using rod ends

No dice on finding the part. Went to a couple places, just blank stares or nothing in their database. Had to leave town empty handed.

I searched online and couldn't find anything either. Was told the best bet would be one of those junk yard pull-a-part type of places.

I gave the part back to my friend, he's going to see what he can do in the meantime. It's hard, no shops and not a lot of tools to get stuff done. I'm surprised anything runs actually.

Get a couple of rod ends and a piece of threaded pipe. Cut pipe to length and install rod ends. Bolt on.
No welds to break and can be ordered online. Some reason, I can't find the original one that I saw for the e-150. Can find them for f-150 but those are ~17-19" long.
