Toyota dealer

Visited a Toyota dealership the other day. Salesman ask me what configuration I was looking for. I told him I doubt if you could find the configuration I am looking for. He told me of course I can we have access to a large inventory. Ok so I say to myself I will play along with his little game. I said to him I am looking for a Dbl Cab 4x4 long bed OR PT with JBL in siliver He tells me I will look that up for you and I am sure we can find it. I gave him my phone number and email and he said I will be in touch when I find it. By the way are you trading your 06 taco in. Are you financing I told him No and No. That was two days ago he called me today and told me I would need to order that truck and it will take about 5 months to get here. Well if that is the case then I might as well wait for the 2017. Looks like I am going to have to

 

Wow that is incredible .... so 5 months ... did you specify it had to come from Japan and be assembled by a leprechaun riding a white unicorn? If so the timeline makes sense as the customs depot is slow on imports from Japan.



Seriously though, someone on this forum posted info on the backlog of production and the availability of parts.

I wanted the JBL with mine, and they couldn't find one and the toyota website didn't have the option available for the TRD OR. I didn't want the moonroof, tonneau cover etc, but mine has the Premium audio so I am happy.

I am wondering if the 2017 model will be behind on production as well.

I have not seen a longbox yet on the road.

 

Go to another dealership with someone who knows what they are doing.

 

It took me 6 months to get my PRO and I ordered it. I wasn't happy with the time frame, but I am thrilled that I got one it was worth the wait.

 

I'll sell you mine when it comes in around Christmas. Ordered it in August.

$90,000 and it's yours. I'll even drive it to you and put a bow on it.
