Hi i'm new this site and was woundering if anyone has had tacoma. I have a 2007 toyota tacoma trd sport. When the weather is warm and nice the 4 wheel drive shifts fine but when the weather changes and drops below zero the 4 wheel drive can take up to a half hour or longer to shift. I'm thinking week motor since this happens only when it gets really cold. Does anyone have a similar problem or any idea what i can do since a new motor is $1800 dollars Thank you.

How cold is it where you live ? I have no idea if I'm even on the right track but are you using synthetic oil for the trans, transfer, diff etc ? Just thinking conventional oil might get thick. Curious George.

I had it in at the dealers last january for my frame recall and they said they would change the oil but that still didn't work it starts to get hard to shift about -5 after that it could take up to half an hour or longer for it to shift in. Last year i just drove in 4 wheel all winter february was - 40 for most of the month not usually that cold mainly -20 Having a hard time finding a used one even then not sure what i will get.
