Does anyone know if the new airdams will fit the 2nd gen trucks? I need better gas mileage more than I need 3 degrees of approach angle.

    :crapstorm: please be gentle

Okay. I'll give some "helpful" advice. I am sure that there will be a 2016 owner ripping one off of theirs. Maybe put a feeler out for one?
    There, I did it.
    Carry on.

OP I wouldn't even bother. In most cases, anything done to get better MPG's costs more than the savings at the pump.

Perfect example is a cold air intake. In most cases it would take a few years of driving for the better MPG's to offset the cost.

I'm contemplating removing my air dam so I'd sell it if you're interested. Otherwise, this thread:

I've been considering this as well. I seriously doubt that the factory 2016 body parts will fit, but it isn't all that complicated to make one. You could probably do so for nothing or next to nothing using trash or home depot parts and a little bit of imagination.

It really depends on how much Toyota redesigned the front bumper. The contours under the plastic look similar but you need the holes to line up. Hopefully, they didn't add holes or change things underneath. If it's flexible, the airdam can be reshaped a bit to fit different contours. I'll have to check the 2016's when I get my next oil change. A few pics should help.

It'd probably be easier/cheaper to fashion one yourself from some rubber or plastic. If you take your time, you can make it look decent.

That one looks pretty clean, but IMO, could use a dab of black paint on the screw heads ;)

Toyota engineering =/= gimmicky performance promises

Let me guess. Up to 15 hp on my vehicle?

On topic, op if you can get a free one it would be good to try and retrofit it. Paying money for it would probably negate any savings. Ecomodder.Com may help you out. They have a list of 100 gas saving tips, many of which are similar to fitting an air dam to your truck.
