Alright, so I'm about 10 pages in reading the mpg thread and not seeing a lot if any mention of what psi people are running in their tires. I have a 2016 DCLB TRD offroad, the a/t tires are at 32 psi all the way around as set by the dealer, this seems low to what I've previously rolled. What's the general recommendation for these Goodyear a/t tires?

Follow the pressure on the label on your door jamb. You can over inflate but the ride will be harsher and you will wear out the center of the tread sooner and need to replace $$$$.

30 - 32 seems to be the area you should be at. As mentioned read inside your drivers side door. That's what they should be but if you seek a bit better mileage then going up a couple of pounds won't be the end of the world.

I run 36 all around and seem fine. Not to stiff or too soft of ride

Yeah, the door jam says 30, which seems low to be too. And apologies, I titled this thread with 2015 rather than 2016, which I have and intended, too much work. <sigh>

And to add a twist - unless your tire pressure gauge has been calibrated recently, it is almost certainly NOT accurate...

So true, I dug 3 different gauges out of the tool chest and was rewarded with 3 very different readings.

Car manufacturers often run as low as feasible to gain ride quality (softness) and performance in braking/traction. The door being "best" is subjective. There can be modest gains in mpg and tire wear with minimal sacrifice to ride and braking. In no way is it worse or bad to run slightly higher than the door but below max psi. There are tradeoffs with any change. I didn't stay at a holiday inn, but I am a mechanical engineer.

That being said, follow ALL of your mfg recommended specs, intervals, maintenance, etc. to the letter or you are a complete fool.

I have an entire collection of gauges and always end up using one of my trusty Accu-Gauge brand pressure gauges. They are inexpensive and for a whole $3 I get them calibrated every Winter. The other brands are the ones I lend to people in the pit area at the track...

Just don't drop them. Everyone likes to throw them around the shop and they get out of calibration thus all the different readings.
